Meeting Preview for April 14, 2011

To all DPI-SIG members and other interested parties:

Our next meeting is this Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 7 p.m.

Here’s a preview of the meeting:

Please submit your theme photos by Tuesday, April 12, for inclusion in this month’s slideshow. The theme for this month is: “S P R I N G T I M E”. Members are eligible to submit 6 pictures or a 2 minute video to: dpi-theme@naples.net. Please follow the guidelines on our web site below to resize your photos.

Award ribbons will be presented for the 1st Annual DPI-SIG Competition by Harold Kurzman and the 1st Annual FCCC Competition by Ed Thieme.

DPI-SIG is thinking of starting a Special Interest Group. Interested? Come to the meeting and find out if this is something that would interest you!

Eric Hansen and Chuck McKinney will give a special presentation about what makes a winning image in a competition.

Tim Gibbons will concentrate on Clarity as his subject for our ongoing review of L.E.C.C.C – Light, Exposure, Composition, Clarity and Color.

If you visited CREW for our last outing, Les Schwartz requests that you submit your 5 best photos by Wednesday, April 13 to: dpi-outing@naples.net. Your photos will be shown during the break at the meeting.

Several door prizes will be available for our members and any new member who joins at the meeting. We will have books available again this month.

Don’t forget to bring a dollar or two….. we request that you make a donation in the receptacle provided at the entry table to help offset the rental cost of the conference room. Many thanks to all who contribute each month.

Edison State College, Lely Campus. Turn west onto Lely Cultural Drive, at the first traffic light south of Rattlesnake Hammock Road on Route 951 (Collier Blvd.).
