DPI-SIG photographers for not-for-profit organizations (posted 2/14/2010)
DPI-SIG (the Digital Photography and Imaging Special Interest Group of the Naples Free-net) is pleased to announce that it will be offering photography services free of charge to not-for-profit organizations in and around Naples. We boast a membership of over 100 amateur and professional photographers of every skill level and special interest. Should your association or organization’s special outing or event require a photographer, simply contact the club at: dpi-npphoto@naples.net with a description of your needs, date and time of your event, and contact information. We will alert our membership and have an interested photographer get back in touch with you as quickly as possible. It’s that simple!

Reflections
Using reflections in photography can lead to some amazing effects and beautiful images. Using water, windows, mirrors or any sort of reflective surface can change an image into a work of art. Using reflected light can vastly improve the quality of lighting available. Diffused light is generally better for taking photos and using reflected light, either as the main source of light or for highlighting, is an excellent way to capture diffused light.
