DPI-SIG, founded in July 2004, by Sonny Saunders and Bill Coakley, and as its name implies, a digital photo club. Film photographers are, of course, welcome, however, the main focus is on digital imagery. The club is part of the volunteer-run Naples Free-Net , a 501(c)3 corporation providing free and low cost Internet services to the local community.
Our first meeting was held in a closed restaurant at the Village Falls Professional Center and as soon as the meeting started we found out the air conditioning was not working.
From that first “hot” meeting, with almost 60 in attendance, we moved to Glen Eagle Country Club and filled their meeting room. Our third meeting was held at Edison College auditorium and we have continued to call Edison State College our home. Currently, we meet in the Conference Center in Building J.

Our meetings have many features;
- “Ask the Expert” - A time where anyone may ask a question about Photography or processing or computer apps … or anything else. Our members possess a wealth of knowledge about these things and are willing to provide answers and assistance.
- A HIGHLIGHT of each meeting is a Slide show of the member’s THEME photos based on the monthly theme. Each member can submit up to six(6) photos inspired by the Theme of the Month. Jeff Billyeau produces an amusing and entertaining slide show all set to music. (more details on the Theme Page)

- “Show and Tell” of Member’s pictures or other skills
- Judged Competitions

Any of the above features may be scheduled for any meeting depending on time and availability.
