Competition Schedule
Competitions will be held three (3) times annually, along with a year end competition. Judging of images will take place the evening of a club meeting.
Year End Competition Judge, December 10, 2009: Dennis Goodman
3rd Competition Judge, September 10, 2009: John Brady
2nd Competition Judge, April 9, 2009: Dick Cunningham
1st Competition Judge, January 8, 2009: Jim Chamberlain
The Year End Competition will be for the selection of “Image of the Year.” Any image awarded Honorable Mention or better during the current club year is eligible.
Who May Compete
Only members in good standing with DPI-SIG may compete.
Five-year Rule
Only images made within five (5) years prior to the date of competition will be eligible.
All images must be the work of the maker.
Images which have won in a previous Digital Photography and Imaging Club of Naples competition may not be entered again.
Competition Classes
There are two (2) competition classes:
A: advanced amateurs or professionals
B: beginning amateurs
Class “B” competitors can be advanced to Class “A” as their work improves.
Competition Divisions
There are two divisions for competition:
Color
Monochrome
Each class / division will be judged separately.
We accept 4 images irrespective of the number which are in color and monochrome.
Judges
There will be a single judge from outside of our club for each competition.
If there is no judge available or if the Club chooses not to select an outside judge, then three (3) members in good standing should be selected to judge a competition and should excuse themselves from judging their own work.

Artistic Merit
Image Entry Labeling, Sizing, and Deadline
Each image file should be labeled as follows:
Class-Category-YourName-Title
Example: “B-Monochrome-JoeSmith-Egrets in Flight”
Each image should be sized on the shortest side to 768 pixels and longest side to 1024 pixels.
Submitting your entry
All four images MUST be JPEG (.jpg) files and be attached and submitted as a single e-mail entry to the attention of the Club Competition Director at the specified e-mail address below.
All images must be submitted no later than ten days prior to the competition judging date.
